Privacy policy

We collect as little as possible and explain everything we do collect.

What we do not collect

  • Nothing you type into a calculator. Every tool runs entirely in your browser; the figures are never transmitted to us or stored anywhere.
  • Nothing you type into the search box. Search runs against content already loaded in your browser.
  • We do not sell personal data, and we do not run cross-site advertising profiles of our own.

What we may collect

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request information — IP address, page requested, user agent, timestamp — for security and reliability. These logs are short-lived and are not used to build profiles.
  • Aggregate analytics. If analytics are enabled, we use them only to see which pages are read and how quickly they load, in aggregate.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us via the contact page, we keep your message and address only for as long as needed to reply and to record any correction we make.

Advertising and cookies

We plan to fund the site with display advertising. When that is switched on, an advertising provider such as Google may set cookies or similar identifiers on your device to serve and measure ads, and may use them for personalisation subject to your consent. Where consent is required — for example in the UK and EEA — a consent notice will be shown before any non-essential cookie is set, and you will be able to change or withdraw your choice at any time. Until advertising is enabled, no advertising script is loaded on this site at all.

Third parties

We load web fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers. We use no social media tracking pixels, no session recording and no chat widgets.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Since we hold very little, this is usually limited to correspondence you have sent us. Contact us and we will respond within one month.

Children

This site is aimed at business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change — in particular when advertising or analytics are enabled — and will revise the date above.
